10.7. We attended a Czech club-dog-show in Kolin. The dogs very judged by Maltesian judge Harry Vella and our darlings very highly sussessful. Sachmet won the Champion-class and though she was attacked and wounded by another bitch right after that, she mananged to gain the second best position among the females of the show. Ambika got VP1, Ankh VP2 and Antares VP3. Arachne couldn´t attend the show, because she was in the care of her vet after being attacked and damaged by another dog...I guess the heat made the dogs a bit crazy these days:)

Later on the heat became unbearable, the temperature rised far above 30°C and we were forced to leave the "pharaoh-party" running in the shade under the trees...the rest of the week we tried to survive at the swiming pool in our garden - the only bearable place in the tropical weather which struck our country for the whole two weeks. Our dogs slept during the day in the shade and the only help was a cold shower, which they hate so much :(((

We were informed that Antares is probably half-vegetarian. Not only he loves carrots, fresh peppers, apples, melons, etc. but he also enjoys picking up cherries from the trees and the lettuce form the garden himself !!!!

 

26.6. 2010 we visited World Dog Show in Danish town Herning. We thought it would be a very long and tiring trip and it really was. Only going there took us over 12 hours and we speeded on the German highways like demons!!! Our dogs did well at the show, the judge like both Ankh and Sachmet very much, but in strong concurence we haven´t reached for the trophies. Ankh got Very Promising2 and Sachmet Excelent unplaced in Champion class. To see over 50 PHs at once was really exciting, people were friendly and we made new friends, too. The rest of the day we spent on the biggest surprise for our doggies...we took them to the shore to show them the sea and the long sandy beaches at the west coast of Danemark! As we have no sea near our country, we thought it would be a nice experience for them and great fun after another "boring" show. They were hilarious, running wild and one could say even laughing like small children! It was deffinitely worth it!

These two Slovakian exhibitions were exceptionaly successful for the Czech Pharaoh Hounds and Podengos. The owners will remember this even with pride.

Our Sachmet was not only BOB for the both days but also chosen for the best 6 dogs in the Groups. First day she won BIG-3 and the other she was BIG 4-6 (not awarded), she was nominated for Cruft´s 2011 and received the title the Central East Europian Winner 2011.

Ankh-Anubis was shown in the puppy class and received "very promising1" fro the both days.

 Though Sachmet has already turned five, she looks so young and lively that many people think she´s a junior! She loves to play with her son Ankh, they case each other and play with toys all day long.

We receive the news and pictures of our other puppies and they grow into wonderful, elegant Pharaohs!

 

Antares is a big boy! While turning 5months he weighed around 21kg! He likes to eat, destroy wooden sticks and play with his friend (German Shephard) Andy.

 

 

 

 

Apohpis just loves his family. He´s also a big, elegant Pharaoh with large ears. He has a very nice temperament. Unfortunately we can´t see him so often while he lives in Germany some 800km away from Prague.

 

 

 

Ambika takes after her mother so much, she is tall, elegant and incredibly quick in running. With her partner Saffir she crates unseparable pair in play.

 

 

We love to travel and meet other dog-friends a lot.

8.2.2010 unfortunately died Sachmet´s mom Camacupa in the age 11years. We will miss her so much...

 

Our dogs love playing in the snow! They enjoy long walks, running like crazy, especially after thrown wooden-stick, sniffing all the fantastic smells on the path, which seem to be somhow more intensive when the country is covered by the snow.

Our baby is growing fast, 14.2. he weight already 13kg! His ears are big like bat´s and as he looses his baby-teeths, he looks like a vampire!

 

Our baby Apophis is also a big boy already, he´s having great relationship with all other pets in his family, including two cats!!! 

 

   

 

Sachmet attended her first dog-shows after puppies and received double CACIB (6. and 7.2.). She is also Grandchampion of Czech Republic.
